Another example with simple interesting shots

This is another simple “homemade” video which utilises interesting shots to add visual interest. For the Cert 4 Multimedia students I think its worthwhile watching and analysing the shots and over structure.

I must admit I watched it with no sound :) so have no idea what he was actually saying but in spite of there being “no audio” for me I still found it very interesting from a filming perspective.

This video below demonstrates the “180 degree” film making rule. The example sequences are not that crash hot but they his explanation of the 180 rule I think is really good and the video demonstrates todays topic of editing continuity really well.

The basics of this rule is that  it’s just about keeping your cameras on one side of a straight line; most often used when shooting a conversation between two people, to avoid startling or confusing your audience. This rule is much simpler than the off-side rule which we’ll go over later.
